The RuggedSplit 322-24-TR log splitter attaches to a 3-point hitch found on many Cat 1 or Cat 2 compact tractors. To power the splitter, two high-pressure hoses are provided for tying into the tractor's hydraulic system.
Our friend Jake from @Dude Ranch DIY has a tractor, so we decided to make a visit and bring along one of these splitters.
Jake's tractor is a 2020 Kubota L3901 tractor with a Pat's Easy Change 3-Point Hitch System.
In this video, you can watch as Jared and Jake hitch up the splitter and then direct-connect into the tractor's hydraulic system with no PTO pump or remote auxiliary hydraulics. There were a few hiccups along the way, but nothing a couple of experienced DIYers couldn't overcome.
