Jake has been splitting with his RuggedMade 700-Series log splitter for years and has put his machine through countless cords of wood. Jake's an arborist by trade, and when he's not up in the trees, he's splitting in the woodyard that he built from scratch in the backyard of his Connecticut home.
Jake has been splitting his whole life and uses the wood to fuel his wood stove while selling firewood on the side. He also loves tinkering with his RuggedMade machine. In fact, we took a trip down to see him so he could walk us through all the modifications he put on his splitter. This includes an adjustable wedge lift so he can alter the blade height and an auto-cycle valve to crank up the efficiency even more.
